It evokes aromas of pot-pourri, candied orange peel, rhubarb, cola, meat broth, mineral and earthy hints. Gramde complexity then at the olfactory level, intense with aromas of wild strawberry jam, medical herbs, brackish, ferrous, licorice, aromas of cinchona, flowers and citrus peel that make it bewitching.

Flavor

Communicates balance and complexity, although it is only at the dawn of its development; it has well-integrated tannins and a controlled, but clearly noticeable, sapidmineral charge. The finish does not betray the aromatic sensations, lastingly recovering the sensations found on the nose. In the mouth the harmony, great structure, fine and elegant tannins with a great freshness to balance the whole wins.

The greatest Burlotto wine is the magical Barolo from the Monvigliero di Verduno vineyard. The greatness of Monvigliero lies in its distinctive aromatic traits, which are different from any Barolo. Its surprisingly intense and immediately recognizable scent of wild strawberries, rose petals, cedar and truffle is nothing short of hypnotic. And it could come from no other place in the world. It is the essence of its territory. This historic estate located in the municipality of Verduno in the Barolo DOCG, was founded by Giovan Battista Burlotto, the Commendatore, in the mid-18th century, during which he obtained the illustrious title of “Supplier of the Royal House of the Savoy”.
