Product Description
Inachis is the dry white wine of the Zarelli winery, a Planargia Bianco IGT obtained from a typical aromatic white grape cultivar of this part of Sardinia and vinified in such a way as to have a gentle white but with a great aromatic appeal. An aromatic white wine for monocultivar, therefore, unlike what happens with the Aromatic Su ‘Entu or T’Amo Cuvée from Cantina Sociale di Mogoro. The word inachis means “butterfly”. Inachis was born from the company’s vineyards located in the countryside of Turudas, in Magomadas: an area characterized by hills of limestone origin capable of giving the wines great minerality, finesse and propensity for aging. It is a perfect terroir for the production of whites, considering the particular microclimate, characterized by hot and sunny summers, rare rains, mostly distributed between late autumn and spring, and warm winters, made even milder by the proximity of the sea: This is a territory beaten by strong mistral winds, which avert the danger of disease, and benefiting from excellent temperature ranges also ensured by the breezes which, full of salts, blow from the sea in the evening. The grapes are harvested manually when perfectly ripe, when the sugars are not yet too many and the acidity is higher, in the early hours of the morning, and quickly transported to the cellar where they are soft pressing, to obtain an exceptional free-run must. This is subjected to alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel containers, at a controlled temperature between 18 and 20 ° C; once this phase is completed, Inachis rests for maturation in stainless steel containers for eight months, before final refinement in the bottle.
